Cape Hatteras, N.C. 2010 Part 1

Ahhh, finally at the beach!! It was a very looooong drive. (In our younger yrs, "pre" kiddos, we did the drive in 15 hours - with pit-stops!) We left at 10am on Friday from NH and didn't pull into Avon, NC until 4:45pm Saturday. We stopped for the night around 9pm in Delaware, it was raining really hard and Mike was tired. Carver was pretty good the WHOLE trip, Maz...not so...but to her credit she is cutting 3 molars and an eye tooth and is generally miserable right now. These pics are from the beach TODAY!!

Our little Rock star! She loves "everything" Carver...toys, glasses, clothes..you name it and she wants it (as long as Carver does too)



So far things have been going okay, not quite the vacations we were used to before kids...Carver's monitor broke tonight and we have no back up (the house is three floors and we put the kids in separate rooms) we now have their doors open with a monitor in the hall. I'm not thrilled but we will make do. I think these types of trips are good for me too, I am not great with the whole "fly by the seat of my pants"...I like planning, order and this is NONE of that! Wish us luck on "vacation"!!!
